The purpose of the smart contract audits was to provide that transparency. However, unless you have a technical or research background these are very difficult to understand. So the information is out there, but few understand it. This is why the upcoming trustnet system will be very important. Its purpose is to simplify all critical information in a visual aspect, with links for further details (such as the complete audit reports).

We firmly believe this will help ensure normal everyday people will understand a projects security, and make more informed decision where to place their trust and investment.
